Welcome Brenton Elliott!
The Environment is Changing, and So Are We
We are excited to announce that on December 13, 2021 Brenton Elliott joined our firm as a Partner. Brenton will both strengthen our real estate department and add a new practice area – Environmental Law and Litigation. While we are still the same firm that you have known since 1946, providing thoughtful and thorough legal solutions to our clients, we are excited for Brenton to join us and bring with him his years of experience in these fields.
Brenton regularly represents clients in matters involving environmental and real estate litigation in state and federal court. He has been involved in some of Connecticut’s most significant environmental cases, including cases involving issues of property contamination, personal liability relating to environmental damage, litigation involving the Connecticut Property Transfer Act, the defense of clients involved in state and federal regulatory enforcement actions, Superfund and related federal environmental litigation, state and federal cost recovery actions and landlord-tenant-related environmental litigation.
Brenton also represents clients in disputes related to issues involving commercial real estate, such as commercial landlord-tenant disputes, disputes between buyers and sellers of real estate, commercial eviction actions, property tax assessment challenges, boundary disputes, actions involving disputes over the title to real estate, and disputes involving commercial real estate that also implicate environmental and regulatory concerns.
The addition of Brenton will strengthen our firm and expand our services to our manufacturing, real estate developer, and landlord clients. With a larger group, we will provide a broader level of legal counsel to our clients and other trusted advisors – and always with the same thoughtful and thorough approach that distinguishes Zangari Cohn.
